She's always had him – he's always been there, for her, when she needed him most. They needed each other; she needed his strength, and he needed hers to lean upon. Protection, that was what they gave each other, both in ways fully their own. But now, she wants so much more than just that.
There is need in life for a constant; knowing that all you do, you do for a purpose, and there is some something in your life that is worth all you strive to, all you do. And she is a part of that something, that constant, shining and bright. She guides him places he could not walk on his own; heart's sister, true friend, too. Rational, where he would rage, a calming force that is serenity to his storm. She is protection, in a way, unbending, unrelenting, pale but strong. But now, he wants so much more than just that. |
